How many of these wonderful people do you know? I’m going to share a list of my favorite lifestyle bloggers that really have made an impact on my life this super crazy year.
By the end of the article, you will discover one of the best ‘How To Start A Blog’ guides on the web, a Dr. Mom of four who will inspire you to go farther than you ever dreamed, and an absolutely indispensable guide to men’s fashion and why I keep his blog bookmarked on my phone.
Ready? Let’s dive in!
Color Me Courtney
I really love Disney.
A lot. Like, a lot, a lot.
But I’ve only ever been to Disney World twice in my life, so I tend to follow a number of Disney bloggers to quell my insatiable thirst for the World. One blog in particular that I absolutely love is Color Me Courtney. Courtney is the eponymous lifestyle blogger who delves deep into the world of color, and who proudly displays her Disney side (including other pop culture references) alongside it.
She’s been such a powerful influence on me this year because of her innovativeness and her cheer and happiness in a year that has been wrought with… let’s be polite and call them ‘ups and downs.’ She’s unapologetically beautiful and, if I could thank her in person, I would fall all over myself doing it.
And she has a puppy named Waffles. Y’all, it doesn’t get cuter than that.
As she puts it, she’s all about “encouraging women to embrace their quirks, chase their dreams and always dress outside the lines.”
I’ll toast to that. Every. Damn. Time.

By Sophia Lee
Sophia actually caught my eye on YouTube earlier this year with her bubbly personality and her willingness to teach others what she knows.
Her blog revolves around being your “go-to girlfriend for all things decorating, organization, and cleaning,” but her blog doesn’t even stop there! As a recent graduate, she’s got content that has evolved around her time as a college student who then moved into her first apartment. Following this progression, there are tips for what to buy for freshman year and general life and decorating advice for university life, as well as for first-time renters.
Sophia inspires me in a very direct sense – the fact that she was a full-time student and worked on her blog to make it a full-time job makes her a very literal role model for me. If that’s not inspiring, I honestly have no idea what is!
So if you’re looking for someone to remind you that you have the strength in you to do whatever you truly want to do, you can pop on by and meet up with Sophia at bysophialee.com.
Laura Scott and Co.
I really wanted to hit it home that women can ‘have their cake and eat it, too’ by featuring Laura in this list. She recently rebooted her blog under a new name, and I feel like this list wouldn’t be complete if she wasn’t on it.
Laura is a married mom of four running her own blog and taking names by being a dermatologist.
So, yeah… she’s busy.
But guess what? She’s also living her best life and she 100% is an inspiration for me to work harder every day. Thinking about what she can accomplish helps me to focus when it feels like I’m drowning in my tears.
She talks about a variety of topics from fashion, home décor, traveling and all those the little things in between. She recently gave birth, so if you’re in the market for cute baby pictures, you most definitely should check her out!
Hop on over to laurascottandco.com and say hello to Laura!
Gathering Dreams
Are you hungry to find more time, more money, and more freedom? Well, Sara over at Gathering Dreams is your gal.
Sara worked in the film industry before becoming a full-time blogger and helping people find their passions, transforming their lives in the process. Sara focuses on food, travel, and money, but, her aptly-named blog is all about gathering the dreams we have in our life and turning them into reality.
Her blog is actually what showed me what the world of blogging could do, and if you’re ever looking for a new adventure of your own, I would definitely suggest checking her out. She has a lengthy “How to Start a Blog” guide that was integral to my own decision to start Lemonade + Adventure.
The fact that she took a risk and it paid off immensely is a reminder that, in spite of what our doubts try to tell us, the risks we take aren’t bound for failure. We can do this!
And the photographs on her page are top-notch. Dreamy.

He Spoke Style
Brian over at He Spoke Style has been around the block for quite some time writing on men’s fashion. Featuring a men’s blog is a bit of a break from the rest of the list, and you might be wondering why he made it onto my featured post.
Easy. I have a man in my life who really has no idea about fashion or how to dress himself to compliment his features, and I love to check up on several men’s lifestyle blogs where I believe I can learn a thing or two about men’s fashion to help him. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn’t.
That’s how I stumbled across the style guides that Brian offers, and I wish that other fashion & lifestyle blogs would offer something similar to help me figure out how to dress myself as a woman. I readily admit that I am not super fashion-savvy, either, so it’s helpful to watch how he tries to teach men to dress, as it sort of frames my own learning.
This blog is also a tour de force with not only the style guides, but it features a glossary of need-to-know fashion terms like “anorak” and “sack suit” – do I know what they are after seeing them so many times? Nope. Do I enjoy the glossary for that exact reason? Yup!
Brian even has a “How to Pack It” series for things you didn’t realize you might need help with, like how to pack a blazer and dress shirts if you don’t have a suit bag handy. Whenever my lovably clueless man is struggling with a fashion issue, I think about Brian, and pulling up his blog on my phone is the closest thing I have to a men’s fashion swiss army knife.
So, don’t hesitate to check out Brian at hespokestyle.com, it’s a treasure trove!
Closing Up Shop
As you can see from these great influencers there are so many fantastic lifestyle bloggers that have so much to offer us in 2021 and beyond. From Disney lovers, to trying to turn your passions into a career, or even understanding the hustle life and how chugging away for forty hours on a business venture that will take you past the furthest of stars… these are the bloggers that inspire me to keep moving.
There really is something out there for everyone! And if there isn’t something that fills the particular niche you have in mind, that might just be the universe showing you the blogging equivalent of a ‘For Rent’ sign – an invitation to start your own little sweet shop. ✧♡(◕‿◕✿)
