If you’re on the road to growing as a person, personal growth podcasts give you valuable insights and perspectives from all walks of life. Here are 8 great personal growth podcasts that you’re sure to enjoy.
When you think about personal growth, what other words do you think of?
Maybe it’s personal development or self-improvement, right? Cool, me too! But wait … It could even include topics like personal finance and even your health.
Here’s the kicker to all of this: sometimes reading about personal growth can be incredibly tedious. Personally, I get downright bored, and very quickly, my brain feels heavy like it’s absorbing too much information in a given time.
That’s where podcasts come into play.
While everyone else was hopping on the podcast trend I was shoving my nose into books by the handful. However, fiction is one thing and anything to do with personal development is another ballfield. I can read the entire series of Harry Potter without blinking an eye, but anything that deals with bettering myself?
Fuggetaboutit!
I’m crying tears of stressed-out boredom on page one! It’s really hard for me to through them. Do I do it? Absolutely. Do I enjoy it? Not frequently, thanks.
And I’m sure a lot of you are in the same boat. This is why I compiled this list of podcasts that either make you think of who you are as a human being or keep you engaged with hilarious commentary.
If there’s a podcast that I haven’t listed here that you think I should listen to, leave a comment down below before zipping off.
OK, here goes!
Table of Adventures
The Sit Down with Roman Grey
This is a fairly new, and quite niche, podcast. Roman Grey does a small segment every Thursday that runs for less than 10 minutes. As of now, which is sad for me, he’s taking some time away from his podcast. Whether or not he decides to come back is up in the air, however, I really enjoyed his style and the topic he decided to expound upon.
The podcast is “a solo conversation on what it means to be human.” – Roman Grey
My favorite podcast episode was “The Struggle to Be A Better Person.” At the time I was going through quite a lot, having trouble staying disciplined, and I was really kicking myself because I wasn’t where I wanted to be. It was a scary accurate podcast for me at the time as it came at the perfect time for me.
In the episode, Roman says, “…I have no real control of what will happen in this life. It’s like I went on this journey of self-improvement and growth only to end up in an unfamiliar place standing here stranded with more questions than I ever had before…It feels like feeling confused is part of the human challenge.”
At the end, he mentions a quote from Robin Williams (“Life is one big verse we get to contribute to.”) by saying, “What will your verse be?”
Listen.
Liiiiisstteeeeeeeeen! It took me some time but it was in those moments, and even later, that I think about how this blog has stretched me past the point of comfortability and I’m left wondering what is this blog going to leave behind for others to find?

The Self Love Fix
I don’t listen to this podcast as often as I should and it’s not because I don’t want to. There’s a lot on this list and I’m sure you noticed that.
Since 2019, Beatrice has been the host. This podcast is “dedicated to helping young women delve deeper into their inner child to help them cultivate within themselves self-love, self-worth, and high self-esteem.” For someone like me, this is really important.
Note: This podcast is heavy on astrology so if that’s not your thing (it’s not mine, but I like the nuggets she drops) then this podcast isn’t for you.
There are days when I feel absolutely unloved, unworthy, and I have severe low esteem. Listening to Beatrice talk to me like I’m her little sister telling me all the things I need to survive and keep my head up high.
Episode 19 (“Moment 4 Life” How Staying Present Can Be Transformational For Your Life) spoke about channeling your highest self to stay present at the moment and how transformational it could be to our lives.
I haven’t listened to it in so long but because it’s bookmarked I know that I took something so integral from it that I’ll most likely listen to that episode after posting this post.
And I think you should, too.
If you’re looking for someone to help you step into the best part of your life and shift your energy and your life, Beatrice at The Self Love Fix is your gal. Her podcast can be found wherever podcasts are found.
The Mindset Mentor
I recently started this podcast, The Mindset Mentor, hosted by Rob Dial.
Unlike most of the other podcasts on this list, this one has episodes dropping multiple times a week. Yep, a week. All of the episodes are under 30 minutes so they’re very easy to listen to if you’re looking for that morning session or afternoon pick-me-up.
Since I haven’t listened to Rob very long I don’t have a favorite episode just yet however, I love that he takes science (cognitive behavioral therapy and neurobiology to name a few) to help push people to understand where they stand in life and to help them become greater versions of themselves.
If you’re looking for some focus, Rob at The Mindset Mentor is your go-to.
Here for More
I really enjoy listening to Natalie Kraus’ podcast about empowering eco-conscious entrepreneurs to manifest everything from fulfillment, joy, and even how to handle our impact on the planet.
Since this blog means a lot to me professionally and mentally listening to her podcast brings me that shred of hope and joy that I need to keep pushing when I’m really feeling down and out.
I found her podcast a couple of months ago, and while I haven’t gone through all of her episodes, I have truly enjoyed the nuggets of information she has poured into the episodes I have listened to already.
Her podcasts starts with 19 episodes of things that she’s grateful for. I love it because it’s a poignant reminder of the things we ought to be grateful for and the things we learn from being grateful for those things. The podcast then delves into juicy lessons that anyone who is looking to grow up and level up not only themselves, but their business, can listen to.
It really is a breath of fresh air.
One of my favorite episodes happens to be: “It’s Time to Stop Letting Perfectionism Hold You Back.” She says, “If you never grabbed that dream and ran with it, …you would never know if you liked it or [not]. … If you start something you’re gonna gain clarity.”
I think for me it was important for me at the time to sit down and absorb what she had to say because I am a serial procrastinating perfectionist.
When YouTube had started well 15 years ago I was entering high school. I didn’t care for it then but around the next few years I started to become more interested in the platform and wanted to start a channel badly, but I had no idea what to do.
I wasn’t skilled at anything and I didn’t think I had anything to offer.
Well, the joke’s on me, I should’ve started it because now I don’t have a successful channel 10+ years later that I could have cultivated and pruned and made better stronger, and healthy.
No, because I thought I absolutely had to bring something to the table immediately I couldn’t see down the road to what could be and I missed out on a pivotal moment in history.

The Daily Shine
I feel like a lot of people have heard of The Daily Shine podcast. If you haven’t, where have you been sis?
Well, if you don’t know, this is less of a personal development podcast in that sense and more of a self-care skills learning type of … podcast instead. It helps with learning how to take care of yourself through breathing exercises. A nice twofer if there ever was one.
The episodes are short and sweet with many options under ten minutes and others under fifteen.
The Shine app is a widely known meditation app that had the BIPOC community at the forefront of its development. I’ve actually never used the app, but the podcast I enjoy.
I love the daily meditations and how easy they are to snap into your day if you’re heading somewhere stressful and need a moment to breathe. I don’t know about you but that sounds great to me.
If you’re in need of this kind of thing then check out The Daily Shine anywhere where podcasts are found.
Pretty Basic
I have no shame in saying that I absolutely love watching Remi Ashten on YouTube. So when I found out she had a podcast called Pretty Basic, also with best friend and YouTuber, Alisha Marie, I just kneeeeew I needed to listen to these two living their best lives.
What I love about their weekly podcast is that it’s basically this hilarious conversation between two best friends about everything and anything.
They’re more on the lifestyle side of podcasting where they talk about whatever, so at times I will actually skip over their “Ask PB” episodes. I love when they bring in guest hosts (Bretman Rock!) and when they talk about confidence, business, and how to push through and cope from (and with) trauma.
Their fresh take on life is refreshing and while they’re not solely personal growth I love that you can tell how much growth they undergo every week with each other.
You can listen to Pretty Basic wherever podcasts are found.
The Health Code Daily
If you need a reminder to take care of yourself on the daily, The Health Code Daily (yup, it’s daily!) hosted by Sarah and Kurt Tilse.
Honestly, even if you don’t listen to anything they actually have to say, just listening to their Aussie accents makes me happy. I think I have an unhealthy obsession with Oz.
Welp.
Anyway!
This husband and wife duo are so much fun and I love listening to them! Sarah is really big into fitness and has written two e-books to help women lose weight. I enjoy that they share tips on staying motivated and fitness as they are both things that I tend to struggle with profoundly.
Each episode is under 10 minutes long (with a few exceptions) so they’re the perfect amount of time to get you pumped for whatever is coming your way.
A recent episode of theirs: “Act Confident and No One Will Question You” is pure vibes. It’s all about faking it until you make it and if that isn’t the song of my life at this point with this blog, trying to keep my head above water with everything, then I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS!
So, if you’re looking for that pick-me-up necessary to keep you going in your fitness or just that boost of confidence and motivation you may need, check out The Health Code Daily found only on Spotify.
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her
This particular podcast is truly a gem.
Each episode is jam-packed with juiciness and are definitely not short in the slightest. Ranging well over an hour on most of their episodes, The Skinny Confidential Him & Her is host by couple Lauryn and Michael Bosstick.
Both entrepreneurs, Michael co-founded the Dear Media Podcast Network and Lauryn blogs on her blog by the same name – The Skinny Confidential.
Want my take? I started listening to them last week and I have found so much value in their podcast already. They post every 3-4 days and there are so many episodes to make the listen worth your while.
Because of their extensive reach, they’re able to host a lot of people on their podcast.
An episode I’m really excited to listen to is “Niel Roberston Found of Influence.co on Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Success & Failure.” As someone who has experienced little success but a whole lot of failure, I’d love to know how to approach these two things and really learn what others have done to overcome failure to find great success.
It helped that I frequented Lauryn’s site before to actually have the need to want to listen. But yeah! Anywho, you can find The Skinny Confidential just about anywhere a podcast can be found.
Have A Listen to Those Podcasts!
That’s it!
Honestly, I’m glad I got that off my chest.
Podcasts really have been a gamechanger for me, especially on long car rides where music sometimes just doesn’t cut it out. To have motivating and helpful words thrown at me is better than the alternative.
Hopefully, this gave you a few things to think about, and let me know if you listen to any!
